New plants for Spring 2012!

Move over Stella! Stephanie has arrived!
If you've had enough of Stella and are ready to try something with a softer color, try Stephanie! 'Stephanie Returns' is a new variety of daylily that is short and has a nearly continuous bloom. The 4" blossoms display a unique bicolor blend of light peachy pink, ruffled petasl with a narrow, purple eye, radiant yellow throat and deeper rose purple sepals.
Height: 16-18"
Width: 18-24"

'Stephanie Returns' Daylily

Western Sand Cherry Pawnee Buttes™
Prunus besseyi is one of the hardiest of deciduous shrubs, growing to 3 to 8 feet with a rounded form. Preferring full sun, it adapts to heat and can be used in hot, dry areas of the landscape. This shrub is also cold tolerant and hardy to zone 2. Well-drained soil is preferable, but it will adapt to most soils, including clay. Supplemental water needs are low to none. Western Sand Cherry is rarely bothered by insects or diseases.

Clematis 'Piilu'
One of the most heavily blooming Clematis! Produces 3-4" double, light pink blooms with a prominent, wide, dark purplish red bar.
Height: 4-6'

Bloomerang Lilac
Enjoy classic lilac fragrance for months instead of weeks! A revolutionary new kind of lilac, Bloomerang blooms in spring and then again throughout the summer. It does go through a rest period in the heat of the summer, then flowers. While traditional lilac varieties bloom for a few short weeks in spring, Bloomerang's fragrant flowers continue until frost. This compact, mounded variety fits easily into any landscape, and is ideal as a foundation planting or as part of the mixed border. You can even include it into perennial beds. Small habit fits into any garden. Good for cutting. Fragrant. Deer resistant. Height: 4-5'

'Vanilla Strawberry' Hydrangea
A landscape sensation from France. Enormous flower panicles held on upright red stems emerge creamy vanilla beginning in midsummer, changing to pink and finally to strawberry-red. As new blooms continually emerge, the plant becomes a multicolored visual masterpiece. At 6 to 7 feet tall, it has an upright habit that becomes more cascading later in the season. Well-deserving of specimen status in any landscape.
